BioConcepts: Womans Center

This center is a part of BioConcepts, Inc. in the Chicago area and is designed to deliver orthotic-prosthetic care specifically designed to meet the needs of women. This program is under the direction of Ms. Angela Kozinski, C.O.

We realize that idiopathic scoliosis, osteoporosis and mastectomy are predominately women's issues and we designed this center so that women may be seen by other women who are educated and experienced with these issues. Furthermore, we believe that women with limb amputation should be enabled to see a woman to address their prosthetic needs. In the 21st century, many women prefer women professionals, such as physicians and attorneys, for their personal issues as they beleive that women may be more sensitive and better able to communicate and meet their needs. We also realize that in orthotics and prosthetics that there are many more women practitioners as compared to 10 years ago. Unfortunately, there are few facilities where women may call for an appointment where they may request and are guaranteed to be seen by a professional woman. That is why we designed this center. We are able to provide comprehensive care to any and all orthotic, prosthetic and mastectomy needs for women in all walks of life. As an orthotist who has been in the field for nearly 30 years, I have promoted and educated many women in the sciences of our field. It has been both a delight and an enlightening experience to work with many of our skilled practitioners.
